WEBSHOP UPDATE: Closing After 20+ Years

Orders are temporarily paused / Last sale in September 2026
After more than 20 years, of selling our prints we've decided to bring our webshop to its final chapter. During the summer we're closing shop, doing inventory, reminiscing and documenting the "what and how" of the Jenny & Jens printshop and prepare for it's final sales period, which will start in September 2026 and end later this year.
Our creative work continues through photography, illustration and commissioned projects.
When we first started talking about closing the webshop, we imagined doing one final sale, switching everything off and never thinking about it again. =) However it has turned into a documentary project where we want to pack it all up with video, text and photo in a well organized archive, preferably with a big bow around it. If not for us then for our kids.
Jens and I started selling posters when our daughter Viola was born. She is now 21.
Back then the shop was handmade, coded with html and css. We did not even have a smart phone and had just bought our first professional digital camera a Canon EOS 5D. (I sold an old Hasselblad to pay for it).
The internet felt like the future. We had a blog. We found work through internet. We moved to the countryside. It worked!
Starting our own print shop simply felt like the obvious next step.
So why are we closing the shop in 2026?
Well I could go off on a rant about the hustle of social media, but I will not. Because that is not the only reason - it has become less profitable and far more complicated. Shipping costs have increased, tariffs have changed, and within the EU the handling of VAT has become more demanding. For a large company those costs may be manageable. For a small creative studio like ours, they eventually tipped the balance.
We've had a great run!
2000 of the best most beautiful and smart people have bought our art. That is insane to us. Thank you.
Also it's been an interesting time to be part of.
And that is why we want to document the project.
⭐ Final sales begin September 2026
